I've been to Godivas a couple...

I've been to Godivas a couple of times in the past few weeks...I have been a regular at Nepals (another Greenville, SC club), but Nepals is currently closed for remodeling/renovations. Godivas has a reputation of being a "hood" bar, but being white, I have never had any problems with any patron or dancer during my visits there. Several of the Nepals girls are working here at Godivas (some of the braver ones :)) and it has actually brought Godivas dancer rating up for me (depending on who is working on a particular night). That may not last much longer as Nepals is supposed to open back up as "Lust" club May 17th according to their website (www.luststripclub.com).

The cons: club is still pretty run down...definitely in the "dive" category, but it appears that they are making an attempt to clean things up a bit. My biggest complaint is the cheap bar stools, tables, and other furniture in the private rooms. They could really use some upgrading there.

Club is in sort of a rough neighborhood, but they do have security cameras outside and one of the managers/bouncers actually keeps an eye on what is going on nearly all the time. I would still make sure to lock the car, arm the alarm, and keep anything of value locked in the glove box or hidden from view to discourage any curious eyes/break ins.
