Since I was on vacation in the Fort Myers area, I thought I'd stop in to experience my first Florida strip club. This was the best-reviewed place in town on TUSCL, and the reviews are pretty much accurate.

Babes is on crowded Route 41 in the south of town. The club is essentially a narrow rectangle. As you enter the club, the bar is on the right, the long, skinny stage on the left. The club was filled with regulars, everyone from biker types to retired guys. The place does seem kind of dark, though maybe the Florida sun has something to do with it.

Surrounding the stage a couple steps up is the couch dance area. It isn't exactly private, so if you like your dances without an audience, this isn't the place to get them. Then again, it does give you an opportunity to shop around to see what's available! The dancers do mingle with the crowd and, for the most part, aren't too high pressure. The exception was a tattooed Paris Hilton lookalike who kept saying the same line to every guy she saw. It's all about fantasy, and it's less appealing when you feel like they're only after your wallet.
