I was over at Playmates for...

I was over at Playmates for about an hour and decided to go over to the Palace to change things up. This was my first time to go to this club and might be my last.

This club is in a small strip mall and as I got into the parking lot some guy was placing cones in every frickin spot. I found a spot that wasn't coned off but it was at the back and was worried my car might get broken into. The club itself is pretty nice, though its in a shady part of Houston. I paid the $5 cover and went inside. Once you get in, there's stairs to your left that I'm assuming go to the VIP section. Halfway up the stairs was some pool tables. To the right was the bar. It was actually a pretty big bar. Past the bar was the stage and all the seating. Problem was that no one was dancing. There was no dj and no waitresses either. If you go to the stage area, you'll be sitting by yourself in a wasteland. At 8pm on a Saturday evening, I would have expected some ladies dancing and stripping, since I was afterall in a strip club.

There were about 10 girls and they were all hanging out at the bar playing with their phones or just chatting with one another. There were about 20 patrons that night. Half were playing pool and the other half were sitting in the bar with their group of friends. None of the strippers tried to get any business and none of the guys really approached any of the girls. I was amazed and never seen anything like this in any other club. All the girls I saw were Latina and all the other patrons were hispanic dudes, but nothing was happening. After 30 minutes of no stage dancing and boredom trying to get a feel for this club, I saw a girl from the back head to the bar and sit down. She started playing this touch screen game at the bar. I went up to her to try and start a conversation and hopefully get some dances. She spoke absolutely no english and was more concerned with the game she was playing. I just got up and left at that point. This was truly my most mind numbingly dull experience at any club ever.
