Alright, so I finally went to Lure after they closed by old fav hole-in-the-wall club, The Skyway. They've done a good job of improving the appearance and layout of the club. The old skyway was like a dirty, dive bar that happened to have topless dancers. Lure is definitely a real gentlemen's club. And heck, they even have nice, clean restrooms - this could not be said about the old skyway. While adding the mezzanine adds a lot of space to the club (I did not go upstairs), the club seems to have a fairly poor layout on the main floor, mostly because of the physical dimensions of the club. There are VIP couch rooms on the main floor with curtains that can be closed. My understanding was $200/15 min - curtains open; $300/30 min - curtains closed (I didn't partake). This compares to $20 for a regular lap dance. While its a vastly improved club, the prices they're charging aren't really justified: $10 cover/$8 redbulls. This is as much or more than I've paid at any club in the cities. I'm a non-drinker, so redbull is my drink of choice and price barometer I've never paid $8 anywhere else for a can. I believe I paid $3 or $4 at the old skyway. As for the dancers, they definitely have some beautiful women that work here. They also have some that have no business being dancers. Simone and Nicki would be the two most attractive dancers I met. I thoroughly enjoyed my dances with Simone, she's very beautiful, slender woman! My buddy got a dance from Nicki but was disappointed - not by her dance, but by her approach. She tried to upsell him to the VIP right away, he asked to start with a regular couch dance, which she provided and then left. Basically, he wanted a test drive first, then wanted her to talk him into the VIP. Regardless, she's is a foxy little thang! The staff is nice: waitress, bartenders, hostesses, security, ushers, etc. Overall, it was a good time, but not the best value. And if you do go, be sure to spend some time with Simone and Nicki!
