I visited Deja-Vu Flint, Mi. on...

I visited Deja-Vu Flint, Mi. on April 27 2012. I have not been to the club in about ten years. They have since renovated the place, and have a huge flashy sign now. The greeters were helpful, friendly, and welcomed me with smiles. The cover cost was $10.00 with free soft drinks for the duration of my stay. The inside of the club was, surprisingly, the cleanest club I have seen in Flint. The wait staff was very friendly, prompt with refilling your soft drink, attentive, and cute enough to be entertainers themselves. The air was clean and free of smoke as there is no smoking. Even with the lack of smoke the lighting was a touch too dim, and the lap dance cubicles have only red light. I am not saying that they need to go and get 100 watt bulbs, but they should get a little brighter light or some white light in the cubicles. The ambiance was more relaxed than what you would normally see in a strip club when I first arrived at 10:30 P.M. It picked up about 11:30, and several younger patrons showed up. The younger patrons seemed well mannered for a strip club though, and there were more than enough dancers to go around. They featured a “Big Top” armature breast contest, with several activities for the five contestants. One of the contestants went full nude and remained nude for the duration of the contest and beyond. They also requested audience aid on stage for a portion of the contest. Of the five contestants, three were worth looking at more than once, and the other two were, eh, let me just say they were not my type.

The dancers themselves ranged in attitude, some seemed like they wanted nothing to do with you, and others convincingly acted like they wanted to show you attention. A few of them did not handle rejection well, and would avoid you for the rest of the night if you turned them down for a lap dance, although on whole most were friendly and charming. They also ranged in ethnicity; I counted two Black girls, four Latina or Hispanic girls, and one Philippino girl. The rest were white with varying hair color. With four or five blondes, an auburn, and a bright red haired girl with a fire bush. Many of the dancers had tattoos of different size and placement. Most of the ink was truly artwork and enhanced the inherent beauty of the performer; however some of the tats looked more like jail-house work, and only detracted from the dance. There was more than one belly-button piercing as well as clit piercings as well. I had eight lap dances from five different girls during the night. The lap dances were $20.00, although later in the night they did give two for $30.00 and then two for one pricing. Four out of the five dancers were well worth the money. The fifth dancer was a first night girl and was clueless. She had apparently won an amateur contest the night before, and then decided to start the next night. Before deciding to get a lap dance ask the girl how long she has worked there, and do not get one from a girl before her second week. I would suggest strongly to the management to show a dancer what is expected of them during a lap dance before their first night. I began the night sitting away from the stage in comfortable roller chairs. After two of my lap dances I came back to find my seat had been taken. I then decided to sit at the stage. Being seated at the main stage was truly a delight; nearly all of the girls had skill, and showed no animosity if you decided not to tip them. They did show much gratitude if you did tip them.

I will be returning soon to Déjà-Vu Flint. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the dancers. The lap dances were a little pricey, and not all of them were worth the price. The full-nudity dancing is well worth the cover even if you don't get lap dances. The dancers didn't even flinch when they were not tipped while on stage even if you had been sitting up there for four hours. If you are light on cash, I would suggest going on a Tuesday night as cover charge and lap dances are half-off, or to go on Sat. with your girlfriend as entry is free for couples.
