From the Bare I went on...

From the Bare I went on to the new club at the junction of 405 and 110 called Bay Girls. You can see it on the 110 southbound just before the Torrance Boulevard exit. This is in a square box of a building with indoor parking at one end and also fenced outdoor parking. Like at Déjà Vu Coldwater Canyon you walk into the club from the inside parking. The main room inside is a square with the bar over to your left and the stage jutting out as a horseshoe from the corner opposite towards the center of the room. There isn't a huge amount of seating but it has to be said the place was empty when I arrived. Not many girls and not many guys. However the club opened only recently and it is early days. Nevertheless there was a heavy police presence in the street outside (I got stopped for some trifle but was then waved on) and there had apparently been some harassment from religious groups. The decor is good with nice lighting and discreet murals and a nice mirror effect behind the stage. Also the lighting is better directed and subtler than in most clubs. One of the girls said it was like 4Play only newer and better. The arrangements for laps seem a bit odd, with a double row of maybe 10 (i.e. total maybe 20) grandfather chairs facing each other in a bay. No curtains. Not much action likely here. Lavatories were new and clean with an attendant, tip $1. Red Bull $5, entrance $20.
