I used to visit and enjoy Club Orleans When in Topeka so I was hopeful the merger would be positive. This was my first visit to Baby Dolls and I was disappointed. The lay out was impressive but did not foster the friendly atmosphere I enjoy. The stage I saw is a long strip along one wall with several areas projecting into the audience area for dancing. This gave an audience/performer separation. Several of the customers were loud and abusive toward the dancers. Which was not pleasant for other patrons or for the dancers. The service was friendly, I decided early I was not going to stay long and ordered coffee which was brewed and delivered for $3. Not Starbucks but not bad. The 4-6 dancers I watched were generally not up to C Orleans standards although I recognized one who did settle the unruly crowd. I was only there 45 minutes 1 evening so I will probably return but it will not be my main club destination. The club was clean and the seating was comfortable. I sat at the stage so was not approached for LDs so I cannot comment but I did not see very many girls around looking for LDs either. Maybe they were already busy or waiting to stage dance.
