I spend far too much time...

I spend far too much time at this club, because, despite its many flaws, I still think it's usually the best one in Minnesota. The basics haven't changed for a long time. One large room (which feels split into an upper and lower level) with a stage. $16 gets you admission and two fountain sodas or one bottled drink. Stage show is at best an afterthought during the day shift, though it is going regularly at night. Dances are where the action is. $20 couch dances (hands to the side -- all touching is one way), and $200-$300 VIP dances (upstairs couch, 15 or 30 minutes, touching allowed).

What's great about this club is that pretty much anyone is welcome and can feel comfortable. I saw lots of groups (including couples). Plenty of loners. Some folks dressed up, others in T-shirts and jeans.

And there's usually a reasonable mix of dancers, though lately a number of the better looking ones haven't been dancing there (some moved to other clubs; others??). Fortunately, I can usually find 2-3 worth dancing with any given night. Unfortunately, that's often about all. Definite need to get some new talent in.
