I'm a regular here at Nitro,...

I'm a regular here at Nitro, but it's been forever since my last review. So I thought I'd submit an update.

I'm a regular because this is one of my favorite clubs. It also happens to be close to home. But the other Boulder club is even closer and I've not visited that one for a couple years. I like Nitro because it's comfortable, classy, the gals are friendly, and private dances are a good value. My only disappointment is that my favorite dancers don't stick around for more than a year or so. I guess they earn what they need and move on. But there always seem to be new dancers to take their places.

There's a VIP area to the right after you enter and pay your cover (early evenings cover is free). The space opens up into a central rectangular stage, surrounded by "stage" seating, the bar, and table seating. At the far end of the room you'll find the private dance area. The stage is not raised. It's merely the floor and two short poles as surrounded by this glass and steel lattice-work stage counter. The ceiling is rather low -- you are in the basement -- so pole tricks can't be elaborate. Instead, dancers need to be creative using the poles, the counter, and the customers! It's somewhat odd, but it works.
