I had not been to the Hi Liter in a long time but stopped in while in town for business. It is still a great club and a good value for the money. The location is a nice neighborhood with a good parking lot. Ignore the guys who offer to park your car for five bucks, because they just move the car an extra 50 feet. There is no cover in the afternoon, and drinks aren't expensive. You won't even be hassled to buy a second drink no matter how long you stay. It's a good idea to give the doorman a five to get a seat against the wall. It gives you a little more privacy for the dances. YMMV as always, but it is usually real good for ten dollar dances. The day I went I stayed out of the VIP, which is new since I last came here. Plenty of great contact on the floor.
