This club has the potential to...

This club has the potential to be a really good place, unfortunately it is sub par so to speak. The club has what I would think is a good location. It's right off of the highway and only about 2.5 miles from the Wells Fargo Center. It is on a strip with a ton of car dealerships and you would think they could get a lot of business from the employees in this area. I did not see a billboard or anything that would alert you to the club being there but it does stick out a little if your about to pass it. It is quite large and roomy inside and a bit more lit up than most clubs I have been at. There's no DJ annoyance but that being said, I'm not sure I can even recall one. The atmosphere was dull. The music was a good level and the songs chosen were ok but it just had the feeling like nothing was really going on. I visited this club around 5pm preparing myself to go to a Flyers game. On their list of events it shows all the Flyers games listed but this place did not have a sports feel or even anything indicating that they liked the Flyers. There were about 6 or 7 dancers on this shift and they were short on patrons. The dancers were mainly in very good shape and there was a lot of plastic parts here. There were 2 that were in not such good shape and lets just cut to the chase and say one of those 2 was just fat. they were both younger than the others though so maybe this is a starting point for them. When I say younger though, I mean by a lot. The majority of these women appeared to be over 35 and nearing, if not already,the age of 40. I have nothing against older dancers but when you look as rough as most of them did maybe it's time to do something else. It's not just the looks though. The dancers seemed disinterested to say the least. They would do their dance and then come around for their tips. They were collecting their tips from the inside of the bar and really just wanted you to put a dollar in their hands. I did try to offer a few kind words here and there. I was interested to find out a little about this place but the only type of response I would get was a quick thank you and then they were gone. The girls had no personality at all and it seemed that they could have cared less if anyone was even there. They were definitely not money motivated and didn't even seem to be enjoying themselves at all. There was no cover at the time I arrived which was nice and the bartender was attentive and pleasant but did not seem to want to talk to anyone either. The drinks were not too pricey (about $4) and I have to admit that they had a good free buffet set up but it's not enough to make visiting this club worth it. I cannot see myself returning to this establishment without major change. It really didn't cost much for the visit but I would have been happier to pay more for a place with at least some entertainment value. I'm really not trying to bash this place, it just seems a shame that this is what it was like when the potential to make something really good is there.
