The players is now open after...

The players is now open after remodeling. A big bar was built in the middle of the room, occupying more than half of the total club space. Three or four really small stages are put around the bar. There is no stage side table inside, you have to either sit at the bar or in the booth. The layout is really bad that if you sit at the bar you barely can see the girls dancing on the stage.

I got there about 6pm on wednesday, no cover at that time. As usual for detroit clubs, I had to use valet for $6. Domestic beer is $7 and I don't see any drink specials advertised as before. There were about 6 or 7 dancers and about same number of patrons. However, more than 10 waitress and shot girls were present. I didn't find any good looking girls in this particular afternoon. They are either average or way below average. Chatted with a few of them and the dance is now $25 per song. Dance is taking place at the second floor, similar to flight and penthouse, which share the same owner as the new players. Finished beer and head to penthouse instead and had a good time. Overall, I don't see myself coming back any time soon. Price is at the high end and quality of girls is at the low end.
