I recently stopped in this old haunt while traveling on business. What a let-down. This was my first trip back to Cheaters in 3 or 4 years as I do not go to the northeast very much anymore. I was expecting the same old quality service as they always had. Boy, was I disappointed. First the club. It's a dump. Always has been. That's part of the fun is the rush feeling like you don't know what's behind the door. Ya know? It was the same as I expected, but that was the last expectation met. The cover charge was $10, which seemed high for a Sunday afternoon, but I paid the man and went in. There are several stage areas, including one main area and a better lit games area upstairs where the girls play pool with you and such. I tried spending some time on droolers' row, but the talent was all very low. I remembered to pretty middle class girls from a few years ago. Sad. These seemed like just barely a level above street walkers. They really were low-brow. I watched a few dances, dumped a few bucks, and gave up on the floor show. I went upstairs, and kind of chilled for a while. I wound up playing pool with a couple girls. I should have known they were working me, but you know what a fool the lights and music and smell of chamomile body spray will make you. SO after buying them some drinks and playing pool for a while, the mid-20's brunette, who at a "7" was about the best of the bunch anyway, named Destiny asked me if I'd like to spend some time in the VIP room. Tired of wasting money on drinks, I thought might as well. To make a long story short, Chris Rock is right. If you know what I mean. YMMV, but I left a little disappointed.
