Since my last review of Rick's, I've returned several times so I have some more information to share. First off, I have now figured out the VIP areas, both the downstairs bar and the upstairs room. There are basically three ways to be allowed in VIP, have a VIP membership (which they are not selling right now), buy liquor by the bottle ($300 - $375 - not bad for bottle service in my experience), or take a girl. The downstairs VIP area has a small room located down a couple of stairs to the left of the bar as you look in from Bourbon. I know I said it was rip off the last time I wrote, $60 a song v. $20 a song on the floor, but I have determined that with the right girl, it can be worth it. There is pretty much full on two way touching there. While I have gotten close to the same on the main floor, I have had bouncers tell girls to back off. In either place, YMMV.

Against my better judgment, I went upstairs with a couple of girls on a night it was too busy to find a seat on the main floor. The private room was quite comfortable. However, the door is a curtain of metal beads on strings, something straight out of the 60's and they can be seen into from outside. It can be arranged where a dancer can give a handjob without being seen from outside, but anything other than that would be pretty obvious. While the girls will show you everything in there, they can't actually take off their g-strings without risking getting fired.

The kicker is that those rooms are expensive. It is generally $400 per girl per half hour. If you pay in cash, they can come down on the rate. You also pay the club 100 a half hour for the room. So two girls for an hour on a credit card runs $1800 plus a 20% credit card fee. Now you are at $2100 and you have not bought drinks or tipped the waitress. The girls only clear $600 an hour each off of that after tipouts. I had a great time because of the girls I was with, but in prior visits, hanging downstairs, getting dances and drinking, that's a good 8 hours worth of fun.
