Review of a recent Thursday night. I was traveling through the area and stopped in Columbia for the night, arriving later than I had originally planned. If I had managed to get to Columbia in the afternoon, I probably would have gone to Platinum Plus, but it was late and PP usually gets really loud and crowded in the evenings, so I decided to hit HB. My last few experiences here have been off, and this night was no exception. Perhaps off is the new normal here?

It was fairly crowded when I walked in around 1030. Six dollar cover and beer was $4.50. They were having a special on liquor drinks - $3 each - but I usually stick with beer. The crowd seemed to be there for the drinks. I scoped out the place from the bar, as most of the tables were taken, and it seemed dead, despite the customers and a couple dozen dancers. Maybe it was depressed drunk night. The good looking girls were all with customers, just sitting: not much talking or flirting, limited physical contact all around. The other dancers were a procession of 5s and 6s. Some heavier than I like, and a lot of the girls were rail thin with mosquito bites where their breasts should have been. I don't go for outrageously large breasts - small and perky is fine with me - but several of these girls looked disturbingly thin and prepubescent. One blonde girl had a huge booty and no breasts at all. Watching her on the stage was sort of bizarre.

A few girls hit on me: a bubbly black girl who I eventually realized I had met before a year ago, only she looked like she had aged a dozen years in the interim; I got the sneak-from-behind attack from an attractive-in-the-face brunette, but I managed to catch a glimpse of her big belly before she popped the dance question; a personable, cute, thin girl who I thought about taking for a dance but then considered the damage her boney butt might do. All of the girls asked for $30/dance. I think the mark up on prices the past year from $20 to $30 is really hurting the lap dance business at HB and PP. I was there about 90 minutes and I saw all of three customers head into the lap dance rooms.
