I was in from out of town and had wanted to check out the local black clubs in Houston. I had read the reviews of Legends and was intrigued. In short – Legends did not disappoint!

Read in the reviews Legends was an after-hours kind of place. It definitely seemed that way since the club is open ‘til 6 a.m. (at least on Friday, Saturday). I arrive around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday night (technically Sunday morning) and the parking lot was already packed. I had to valet for $20 smacks. I visited on the Saturday night (3/10/12) in which the time changes (i.e. clocks are put ahead by 1 hour) so you would think one would lose 1 hr. of clubbing that night – not in Legends my friend – I ended up leaving the club at 6:00 a.m. and the club was still going pretty strong – it looks like they may have closed at 7:00 a.m. on that Sunday morning due to the hour lost during the time change.

As I mentioned I got there around 1:00 a.m. Had to valet and pay $20 - this sucked not only because of the $20, but the guy parking the cars was from Kosovo and I could not understand what he was saying – the first 2 of times he told me the cost of valet I kept understanding he was saying $200 for valet – but it was his messed up English. The valet also sucked because I was driving a rental car and I noticed the next day there was a scratch on the back of passenger side mirror – I know that scratch was not there when I rented the car 2 days before. There was a $20 cover to get into the club. In total I was down $40 by the time I took my first step into the club – but it was worth it, at least for me!
