I have to pass through Memphis...

I have to pass through Memphis at least once a year and I try to get in a visit to a club, since they are a good deal more lively here than I'm used to. This time I went to Christie's, partly to avoid the crush at Platinum. I get a little tired of the noise and hustle there.

Christie's is a nice club, well laid out, seemingly well managed, with better-than-average dancers. So why did I feel they were just going through the motions when I was there? This was a Thursday night, and the dancing and traffic in the club just never seemed to lift off. I spent a few dollars at the rail and took a two-fer special, with a T-shirt and free-admission card in the VIP area. The laps in Memphis are still great, good contact and touching, and at Christie's they were $30--I seem to remember Platinum was $40.

Not a night to remember, but a more than decent way to kill an evening.
