Desire is a relatively small club...

Desire is a relatively small club located on the edge of the downtown Jewelry District which means its in a safe location. The parking is in front of the building and is secure. Other reviews discuss the upstairs private club versus downstairs club. I'm not an upstairs member. I might consider it if the fee wasn't quarterly and was semi annually. Definitely would if it was annual.

This review covers 3 visits between Feb and March. As others have described, the club has a "regulars" feel to it. Much related to my seeing many of the same faces on the 3 visits. However this does not mean its a problem for the new face (which I am). The difference is that if you simply go to the bar and get a drink and sit there, you won't likely be approached. If you sit in a plush chair away from the stage and sip a beer...the same. What you have to do is wait for someone of interest to come on stage. Then pull up a chair and TIP her. A few dollars (3 to 7) generally seems to provide enough conversation and you can ask her over after the stage songs finish. Worked for me each time.

So now you have the girl you are interested in at your side. There is a definite focus on talking/conversation, so if you like "wanna dance?", maybe this isn't the place.
