I had not been to HSC for a couple of months, so I decided to see what had changed. For one thing, a lot of the "regular" Saturday night girls had either moved on or weren't scheduled for Saturday night. I only recognized a couple of dancers from my last Sat. night visit there. Soft drinks are still $7, and thankfully no dancer that I bought a drink for requested one that cost more than $10-I don't know whether that was due to dancers not being experienced enough to know how to work a stranger for a more expensive drink, or whether I got "lucky" and ran across dancers that had simple tastes. There is no doubt that this place puts an emphasis on selling drinks-there were 5 waitresses on duty plus 2-3 bartenders, but I didn't feel pressured as I had on previous visits to constantly buy drinks in a 2-2 1/2 hour visit. The privates were pretty much standard fare for HSC-bed dances with lots of playful but not any kind of contact that would warrant getting tossed out of there. Unlike some of the other WP clubs, I didn't have a single dancer request my phone number, nor did one give me a number for some outside the club fun. That was unusual considering the economy and these dancers general need for extra cash. The club became quite busy after the Blues' hockey game ended, with lots of couples compared to just a lot of single guys and groups of guys as is the norm for a club on a Saturday night. All in all it was sort of a return to a typical East Side strip club visit from 7-10 years ago-a decent amount of fun, but nothing you'd regret doing afterwards either.
