I checked this place out just...

I checked this place out just before midnight on a Friday. It has its own small parking lot out back, and a couple of cops were in their car there keeping an eye on things. The bar's not in the nicest area but I felt safe while I was there.

Inside, this place has a kind of hole-in-the-wall feel that I liked. The bartender is friendly and easy to talk to; drink prices were on-par or slightly lower they are in DC bars. The place was pretty empty except for what seemed like a few regulars, though a large group of college-aged tourists on a road trip dropped in later. I shot some pool with one of the regulars, then checked out the stage.

You can see the stage from the bar, or sit in one of a few booths closer to the stage (these were served by a waitress when I was there). There were probably 5 girls working, only one of whom was ever on stage at a time. One white girl, the rest black. There were a couple bigger girls, and there were 2 dancers who I'd describe as especially attractive so they boost my rating. One of the girls after getting offstage would just come stand next to you expectantly as if for a tip, without even a greeting. The rest were friendly, however and would sit down and chat. No lap dances here, but you can get a "wall dance" where you lean on the wall next to the stage and a girl grinds on you in full view of the bouncer, the bartender, and, well, everyone. This costs about the going rate for a lap dance and is more awkward, but the girls really put a lot of work into it and I enjoyed mine.
