Our original plan was to go...

Our original plan was to go to Mons Venus for a friend's bachelor party. We had rolled into Tampa and made a phone call to Mons Venus to see what they could do for us. We were told if we had a party of 20, the bachelor would get in free...that's it. We actually had a party of 18, so they basically told us too bad.

So I made a last second call to 2001 Odyssey and the manager there called us out on the spot. He said "I bet you guys called Mons first didn't you? And I bet they did nothing? C'mon by and we'll take care of you". So we swung by 2001 and the manager immediately came out and introduced himself. He asked who the bachelor and best man were and said they got in for free. As for the remaining 16 of us, he gave us a card which let us through the door for only $5 (cover is $20). For those familiar with Tampa strip clubs that are full nude, they are not allowed to serve alcohol. However, the manager tells us if we buy a glass of ice from the "juice bar" for $3, we were allowed to go back out to the party bus to fill up on alcohol and bring it back into the club as often as we want. If you also manage to get the bachelor on stage (I think it was $100), it's a much better show than you would get at Mons Venus.

Now I will say the review is a tad biased since we were treated very well since we were a large party. However, if you are planning a bachelor party, 2001 definitely gets my recommendation as opposed to Mons Venus. The quality of the girls aren't as good as Mons, but they are also a lot more chill and don't hassle you so much for dances.
