I came here on a late...

I came here on a late Tuesday afternoon to early evening a little over a month ago. Working in Midtown and was staying a few blocks from the place and it was a short walk over. On my way over, some dude on the street was actually hawking little cards for free admission to the place. I accepted the card, but it turned out not to be necessary since I got there a little after 4PM, and there is no cover before 5PM.

As has been mentioned, the club is in the basement of the building. You walk in and go down a set of stairs. The scent of stripper and alcohol in the air filled my nostrils even before I reached the bottom. Turned right at the bottom, walked forward and greeted by the bouncer. Walked in to the main room with the main circular bar straight ahead and the stage to the right of that. No cover, but coat check to the left was mandatory and was $3. Men’s room was right next to coat check and there was your usual bathroom attendant in there with his usual set of wares which has become a regular sight for me.

Waitress showed me to a seat at a small table against a pillar right near the stage where I had a good view. Got my usual Heineken, which cost $12 here. I think that is the most expensive I’ve ever paid for one bottle so far.
