I've tried this club every couple...

I've tried this club every couple of years since it was the Sahara 3 (in the late 1990's), but I still do not get it. So many good reviews here and on the Z-site; but every time I go, I hate it. Different strokes for different folks, maybe? Reviewers praise the low cost; but it's $20 for daytime entry ($10 admission and $10 "entertainment fee" which is your "free bottomless" drink I guess). You can escape the admission fee with a coupon or -- if willing to hand over your cell phone info for marketing purposes -- text message; but I've had to pay the other fee regardless. Basic dances are pretty cheap (particularly the $100 VIP on Thursdays) and they have the money machine "timers" in the booths to discourage rip-offs, but I don't find the dances as long as some other places and MAN there is a lot of up-selling. Physically, the place hasn't changed much over the years - some "lipstick on the pig" but a lot of deferred maintenance. They have a lot of fresh young girls, but they typically have the egos, stupidity and insipidity of young girls. Honey, you're a stripper--you ain't all that. Fewer stretch marks/single moms, but less of the practical and knowledgeable attitude of veteran dancers who need to pay their kids' way. ROB issues are a constant worry. Lots of big boobs, tattoos and piercings; but I think they also film "The Faces of Meth" here. And why do people even care about "hot waitresses"?!? I just don't get that. Although I know I live in the same glass house as my fellow PLs, my conclusion is this place markets to the young, cheap and drunk/dumb customer who buys into the pitch that the dancer (or waitress) really finds him hot and wants to be his girlfriend and that's why she delivers the mileage (so long as he buys a LOT of dances).

On that point, my last visit had not one but two dancers tell me how handsome/hot/yadda I was. One was about a 6 or 7 and so was what I felt was the pick of the litter that day, but in the dances she spent almost the entire time telling me how much hotter the VIP would be. Another girl had some curves but seemed pretty cool, but she danced so rough I thought she would snap the feeder off MY money machine. Lots of other trailer trash/heroin chic/Low Rider Mag types that did not interest me, although the fairly big crowd seemed to like them. I guess this club just is not my style -- although I'll probably try again in a couple years anyway. Of course, try it for yourself and make up your own minds.
