This comfortable club has a "neighborhood bar" feel. It's not shabby or scummy, but neither is it so posh as not to feel homey. There's officially no cover, but the two-drink minimum will run you what the cover would have (and soft drinks are all they serve, per WA law). So saying "no cover" seems like a semantic distinction, since it will cost you ten bucks to walk in and sit down, all the same.

Lap dances are the main attraction here, and the girls will eschew their rotations to the stage for them. I've been here on nights when it seemed like no one was ever going to take the stage at all. There's no DJ. My impression is that the girls run music for themselves and each other off a jukebox. As anyone who's visited a DJ-less club knows, you don't miss him.

LDs are expensive at Sands: 40 bucks. I've never gotten a bad one here. On the other hand, I've never gotten any EXTRA attention here either, just a good solid grind from a dancer who permits plenty of touching. I'm sure it's just me; the place gives off a strong vibe that extra-special dances are available. And I've recognized a couple of well-known local providers here, too -- one as a dancer, and one as a patron in the LD area! But I've never brought it up by asking. I'll get around to that on one of these visits.
