I read all the reviews on the place before going and I still found the process a bit confusing. But it all boiled down to looking at the girls in the booths, picking the one you'd like a session with, letting the attendant know, and they let you know which private room to go to. Behind each girl's booth is a area where you can put in some money and talk to the girl, but some were out of commission when I visited. Included the one for the lady I was interested in. But a quick discussion with the attendant straightened everything out. A word about the attendant - he was amazingly pleasant to deal with. In my long ago youth I hung out in some of the more sleazy strip clubs and peep shows of San Francisco, including the old school Mitchell Brother O'Farrell Street Theater of the 70's and 80's. The help was universally surly and unhelpful so finding such a helpful attendant in New Jersey of all places was a huge and pleasant surprise.

Once in the room you put $40 into the machine for 15 minutes. The young lady I was with was very clear on her limits and there were not many. I settled on some manual assistance from her for an additional $40. She was very willing to please and kept up a nice and dirty conversation the whole time.

Although not a high class operation by any means, the Carnival Book Store provides very high mileage at a cheap price. If you are looking for a 10 you are in the wrong place. Not a replacement for the normal strip club but a good alternative when you want a sure thing on a budget. And a clean bathroom as a bonus!
