got to DTW and was delayed...

got to DTW and was delayed by weather and aircraft equipment problems. the folks at Delta offered me hotel voucher and a credit for future flight if I would go out the next day. got the shuttle to a pretty borderline hotel, showered up, and called the gents at the Landing Strip, who were only too happy to send a dude out to pick me up. got a seat and ordered a burger and beer from the cute waitress. there's a bit of nonsense about which table you can sit at. as i recall the booths might be upcharged. no worries because talent was dancing and taking it off. a long legged gal came over and told me her life story. all interesting but i wanted to encourage her to move along because being seated with one will discourage the others. there was one cutie who had caught me eye. it took a little conversation with the waitress to get her to cycle by. we decided to head downstairs for a lap, where the curtain was drawn and desires were satisfied indeed. Landing Strip is definitely a place to visit when overnight outside of DTW. It's not a Mons Venus in terms of the level of talent but it's a place I strongly recommend, especially because you get free pick up and return car service, and you can usually find a good match.
