The Body Shop – of the four Gentleman’s Clubs in Rockford in 2012, this one is the delightfully naughty secret you won’t admit to your buddies. The other 3 are slightly more respectable, certainly better lit, and in much safer neighborhoods. If this hasn’t scared you off, come along with me for a brief journey..

First, say Hi to the doormen – and don’t be shy. Yes they check your coat, and I don’t mean they hang it up for you. Leave your toys at home, they check for all kinds of weapons gentlemen! Pay your minor cover charge, which earns you two free drink tickets. This process was added a couple of years ago to help reduce the number of “patrons” who come in, enjoy the view, and don’t drink – and I think it works just fine.

As you come in the front door look to your right to see the Private Lounge area – a nicely draped communal area where you and a dancer can spend some time together. Usually you can be alone in there, as it seems the dancers tend not to stack the customers in there at the same time. Just ahead of you on the right is the bar, and they have an amazing array of liquors. Plenty of different bottled beers (nothing on tap) are available, and loads of mixed drinks. You can buy the dancers a drink – so don’t be shy! They do have basic foods, some snack foods, and some microwave foods. I’ve never ordered the food, but have seen other folks enjoy it.
