My recent trip to Goldfinger's was...

My recent trip to Goldfinger's was my first experience at a San Diego strip club. And it was a pretty decent one. I knew that city ordinances hamstrung San Diego clubs with some significant restrictions. Specifically, city law prohibits a nude dancer from being within 6 feet of a customer, meaning that stageside interaction is minimal, and dancers must keep on their tops (and bottoms) when giving LDs. So if you're one who could never tolerate such limitations, then San Diego clubs aren't for you. However, for everyone else, San Diego SCs have compensating virtues that still make them well worth patronizing--namely, the abundance of dancers with spectacular looks. While dancer quality at Goldfinger's wasn't quite as high as another club I visited during my San Diego sojourn (see my review of CHEETAH'S), it was certainly high enough to justify my visit.

Goldfinger's is located about 15 minutes outside downtown and is part of a strip mall (no pun intended). The club itself is modestly sized, with a single stage, a LD area that is basically a couch-lined room, and a VIP room that I didn't frequent (sorry, can't provide any details). Since this is a nude club, only non-alcoholic fare is permitted. What really stood out the moment I stepped in the club was the place's laid-back, friendly vibe. The hustle factor was low, and many dancers would sit and talk with you awhile. I found most to be quite charming. There were about 12 dancers working the night I dropped by, and most had faces that were very easy on the eyes and tight, sexy bodies. The majority were blondes, but a few brunettes and Latinas were in the rotation as well. During their stage sets, the dancers went the Full Monty by the final song. So those who hate when dancers at nude clubs don't shed all their linens won't have any complaints here.

The LDs at Goldfinger's were relatively tame but weren't air dances. And from 4-10pm, they're only $10 a dance--good value. Overall, it was a very nice SC outing. If you're the type who likes a more low-key environment where you can actually chat up a really hot dancer before indulging in some dances, then give Goldfinger's a looksie.
