This club is the beginning of the VCG empire. The chain expanded first to most of the Denver clubs, and now the world is its oyster. As a result, the VCG "independent contractor" agreement is standard throughout the US, whereby dancers are no longer employees, but independent contractors. Another innovation of VCG is the severance of the nude room from the bar's liquor license. PT's is technically two establishments, a strip bar with a cabaret license (topless only) and a non-alcoholic, darker room where dancers who have tired of their clothes can move freely on a small stage and for private dances.

The club is on Evans Avenue, not far from the University of Denver and 16 blocks south of Broadway. The 21 bus stops at the door and it is a short distance to the Evans light rail station. It is a fairly large establishment, with the bar on one level, tables on another and the stage still on a third level so watch your step, particularly in the dark.

A few years back, when the fabulous Cheryl presided over the bar, this was a really classy joint. It still is a good value, particularly when the dancers circulate along the bar, giving semi-lap dances or massage to the patrons for a few bucks..probably the best bar scene south of Augie's in Minneapolis or the average bar in Flint.

The dancers are tall and lovely, with varying degrees of enthusiasm. The couch dances in the nude room are something you won't experience south of Montreal. Saturdays usually had special nights for male strippers or couples, but I am not sure this still prevails. Worth your visit. I have had my issues with VCG management and the corporatization of strip club life, but this is still a pleasant drinking spot with lovely ladies.
