Rachels's presents itself as upscale with a grand building, very slightly pushy car valet but warm welcome in club. As my arrival after midnight main arena not very tidy bit atmosphere at tables calm tho music v loud despite not much action on runway. Went over to the bar, no time to relax or even order a beer accosted by 3 girls within 2 minutes no chance to get my bearings or look round. Girls clearly not doing much business and tact not exactly subtle when a new customer arrives - a race to get on board.

Had problem shaking off what seemed a nice girl (nice but not smokin' - which isn't everything) - nice became seriously urgent and I agreed to go up to the private area on the 2nd floor almost to help her out rather than me. Guess I was a soft touch - the 500 for a trip up the stairs needed an extra 500 for the club. Now dont get me wrong this was definitely not hostile but the sell was high pressure and slick in a civilised way. The girl was great but what was on offer was limited which I decided suited me as the main event at Rachel's is in effect a mirage - not much goes on with almost 2 many guys, bouncers, girls/maids wondering around to ensure that nothing does go on. Was I fleeced - YES. Am I complaining - NO. If you go into the wrong part of time at the wrong time of the day, be prepared. When push comes to shove Rachel's is overrated, fine for a beer and the view, but leave it at that, and in some ways that is enough. Advice, stay in the bar, maybe a few dances but don't expect more.
