I've been to BF many times over the years and generally have a great time. I agree with the previous reviews, the dancers are of good quality and aim to please. In the past I've given the club a good monetary value rating because of the $10 lap dances. On this visit, however, I was presented with the new $20 per song fee. According to the posted sign in the LD area, $15 goes to the ladies and $5 goes to the house. Prior to the first of the year it was $10 to the ladies and you paid $2 to the house upon leaving the LD area.

At first glance this looks like a 50% pay raise for the ladies and a 250% increase for the house. I'm sure the dancers were high-fivin' it in the dressing room after the club announced the big increase in dance fees. Who doesn't like a 50% raise? But wait, let me explain why this is a lousy deal for the dancers and the customer. The only one who wins is the club.

Since LDs are essentially a cash transaction, most guys enter the club with a certain amount of cash in their pockets. They know how much they can afford to spend. Let's say it's $60. In the not-so-old days, that would buy 6 LDs; the dancer puts all of the 60 bucks in her garter. After they started the $2 per song fee to the house, the same $60 buys 5 dances (not 6 as before). The dancer gets $50 and the house $10. Now, with the new fee schedule, $60 gets you 3 LDs, the dancer receives $45 for her talents and the house pockets $15.
