The Blue Moon is on Route...
The Blue Moon is on Route 3A near the New Hampshire border. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and paid a $3 daytime cover charge. The club has a small central stage away from the entrance. There’s two-level bar seating on one side, a VIP area off to the other side. There were four women on the day shift, and they followed the typical routine of three songs each…clothed, topless then nude.
The club’s location inevitably leads to a comparison with Mac’s down the road in Billerica, but there are some big differences. Unlike Mac’s, you can drink here. If you’re in the area and want alcohol with your naked women, you don’t have many other options. This is Massachusetts, so there’s no smoking in either club. (Don’t know why some of the other reviews say this club is smoky!) Like the other reviews, I tend to think the dancers are in the 7-8 category, though the one dancer I chose for a VIP dance had a lovely smile.
Reading some of the other reviews here, I’m guessing Matthew’s must have been closed by the local authorities. It’s clear the Blue Moon doesn’t want to follow this route, and they follow Massachusetts’ puritanical laws to the letter. My VIP dance, while pleasant, was all air. A customer tried to hand a dancer a dollar over the stage barrier and was promptly warned by the club management. Later a Tyngsboro cop stopped in and made sure everyone knew he was there. Talk about a buzzkill! It’s one thing to have a bouncer watching over things, but a cop too?
