We (mr and mrs m00tpoint) visited the Penthouse Club on Wednesday, December 28. We had dinner first across the street at Dickie Brennan's steakhouse so it was around 10:30 when we arrived. The club was basically empty when we got there but filled up before we left around midnight.

Drinks are, as others have pointed out, very expensive but one should go in with this understanding and plan accordingly. One of the nice features of this club is they lay all their cards on the table about pricing for VIP rooms, dances, etc. Each table has a folder (think wine-list style) in a faux leather case with the pricing as well as bottle service costs. We asked the two dancers sitting with us about tipping the bouncer upstairs and "additional fees" and were told they take care of the bouncer and the only additional fees we would have would be if we wanted to both go into one room for 30 min or an hour and that was an additional $25 regardless of which one was chosen.

The club itself has not changed since our first visit. It is nice to have a standby that can be counted on for an upscale SC experince, especially as a couple. As previously mentioned, we visited after a trip to Dickie Brennan's so we were dressed well - mrs in a black cocktail dress and mr in dress slacks and dress shirt. We were dressed in the same style as about 75% of the other patrons. I would say that would not be the case now that the Sugar Bowl crowd has arrived but it was for our visit.
