With all the stuff that's been written about this hole in the wall it's hard to believe it could ever be tame, but it definitely was on my first visit in years. Afternoon shift was 4 performers - a 40-something skinny brunette who looked Italian (Toni), a plump semi-blonde with an odd hair-do (Kelly), a bikerish strawberry blonde (Exstasy) and a taller, nondescript type (Nikki). The 40-something was the best looking (!!) and I personally know that she's been performing for about 20 years. She spent the last of her shift talking to a regular in a corner seat. The others have been noted often in reviews; the reviews are accurate and I won't elaborate further. It's a smoking bar so expect to come out smelling like an ashtray. Dancers do two songs off the jukebox and don't hide much in the doing, then go along the bar for tips. Nobody is pushy. No action in the couch room except for a cockroach that crawled out and scurried towards the attached package store. I've seen the furniture inside that room and I'm not certain that the roach wasn't looking for a cleaner spot to nest. Several bumps on a log passing for customers and the barmaid looked pregnant. At least she seemed to be somewhat interested in the goings on. Bathroom had been cleaned recently, which was a small plus. The TVs worked, too. I guess business must be good most days. Not so today.
