I've never been much of a fan of Calgary clubs, but after the French Maid closed in downtown Calgary, and reincarnated as this new location, I decided to check it out and see what's new. The club itself is definitely a huge step up from the previous location. It's big, and nicely done inside. Pretty cool decor. I dropped by around 2pm on the Friday afternoon before the Christmas weekend. So it was fairly busy. Cute waitresses. Bottled beer was $7.50 and the service was somewhat prompt. The dancers were okay, as far as stage shows go. It was the typical Alberta scene..... three songs, first song fully clothed, second song topless, third song barely nude and then the dancer starts playing the infamous "loonie toss" game. Overall, the dancer quality was good, but nothing special. I noticed that there's a private dance area. I didn't stick around long enough to check it out (or to find out how it works, I didn't seem to see any girls walking the floor offering private dances....???). In the end, after about a half hour, I was kinda bored and decided to leave. I might check it out again when there's more action later in the evening.
