he Downtown Club is a typical, American style strip club featuring nude dancers, a full service bar and private contact dances. I went to the club after a hockey game at the Bell Center, which is located around the corner. With the Montreal – Boston game completed, sadly Boston won, there were many patrons and many more dancers eager to cash in.

There are two gentlemen’s clubs next to each other, the Downtown Club and the Grand Prix. Doormen work the sidewalks by enticing passers-by to join in the delights inside.

The club is on the second floor and $5 gains you admission, another $3 tip allows you to sit at a café style table, or by the stage. The stage is generous and well lit. Private dances are offered on the third floor in almost roomy booths. The lighting in the booths, by strip cub standards, is good, an additional bonus, there is a full-length mirror on the sidewall of the booth. The mirror affords great views of the dancers and has an obvious appeal to the voyeur in all of us.

The girls here are amazing; there are plenty of 9’s and 10’s, mostly white with some Asians and African-Canadians represented. The girls are young, trim, tanned, and often enhanced. There is a girl for every taste.

The contact dances are $15 and are pleasant enough, but are often less generous in terms of mileage than can be found at other clubs outside the tourist zone.
