Temptations (formerly New West, many years...

Temptations (formerly New West, many years ago) has just been open a few weeks and it seems pretty nice. I showed up at 2am Saturday night/Sunday morning. Cover was $15. It was pretty busy, there were no empty tables but I managed to find an empty chair a few rows back from the stage. I was surprised by how many female customers there were, most of them were there with guys but I saw a few all-girl groups. The club just opened after several years of inactivity after New West closed so the furnishings were nice, nothing fancy but everything was clean, the chairs were as yet unbeerstained and smoke infused. The dancers were primarily white though I saw a couple African Americans, and they were all fairly young and attractive, no glaring c-section scars or saggy boobs. The customer to dancer ratio was pretty bad when I first arrived but around 2:30 people started to clear out and I was finally approached by a dancer. She told me topless lap dances were $20 and nude were $30. I chose just topless and she led me to the lap dance area which was a row of chairs along the back wall. It wasn't closed off but also wasn't very well lit and no bouncers ever checked on us. Even so I didn't try anything other than a little groping. I just hung out for a while after the dance until a really cute girl got on stage and I went up and gave her a few dollars. After she finished her round on the 3 stages I approached her at the bar where she was talking to another dancer and asked her if she would do a dance. She agreed even though she seemed content to spend the rest of the night just chilling. In the lap dance area she wasn't in a hurry to get started dancing and we spent a few songs just talking. After one topless dance she donned her frilly bra and we talked a little more. She asked me back to the bar where I bought her a $4 cup of ice water and myself a $5 bottle of water. She was really nice but it was nearing 4am and we were both ready to leave so I split.

I had a pretty limited, although pleasant, experience at Temptations. I saw an upstairs VIP area but I don't know how much it cost. Red Bulls were $7 except for a two song special of $5, I think that's typical club pricing. I don't know how much a bucket of ice for your beer was, I didn't BYOB anything. The staff was nice, a couple of waitresses and a couple of fat guys in suits. A drunk girl got in the face of one of the bouncers who had told her boyfriend to cool out but there was no fight and that group left pretty soon after. Parking is a dimly lit gravel lot but there's lots of it. There might have been valet service but if so it wasn't mandatory. Getting to the club from the highway heading east is a bit tricky, you have to take the exit a couple miles before the club, the same exit you use to get to Wet Willies and the XXX store since they're all next to each other. The whole area is pretty desolate except for that decadent oasis and the landfill on the other side of the highway.

I have a feeling Temptations might be pretty slow on a weekday since they had only 10 or 12 dancers on a Saturday night. I'm sure it's hard to get girls to drive out from Fort Worth since it has so many of its own clubs. Maybe they'll recruit some girls from the western suburbs. I'll probably check it out on a weeknight, it was worth going back to and convenient for guys who don't want to drive all the way to Fort Worth. I would recommend giving it a try, the club's just getting off its feet and we need to support our local small businesses. Plus all these dancers have tuition to pay for.
