i went to this club once...

i went to this club once and the experience was sufficiently unpleasant that i've never gone back. i was sitting at the bar...i think i was drinking a beer or something, and watching a beautiful blonde dancer on the other side of the bar when i vaguely heard this woman saying "hi" or something. i ignored it, thinking it was directed at somebody else, and then she said "excuse me" more loudly and i turned to stare into a face so frighteningly hideous that i literally jumped, and it was all i could do not to cry out in surprise. i managed to keep quiet though, and this nightmarish vision on the bar in front of me proceeded to forcefully pester me for money. i tip dancers according to MY desires, to show my appreciation of their beauty and skills, and NOT irrespective of those things or because it's demanded of me. i had not previously even noticed the Gorgon that now sat on the bar in front of me, and if i had, i certainly would not have tipped her, except possibly if i thought it would make her go away. but this bone-chilling monstrosity was insistent (and i can be a bit weak-willed when put on the spot suddenly and not given a chance to collect my thoughts) so i pushed about five dollars toward her on the bar and immediately got up, spun around 180 degrees, and walked out of The Carousel, never to return...and i've loved not going there ever since.
