I hadn't stopped in at Amber's since management raised the price on private dances from $10 to $20 but I found myself in the neighborhood and noticed that the place was relatively quiet.

Paid the $10 cover and fond the same old run down place with about a half-dozen patrons and a dozen or so dancers. It had been a year since I was last in the place and only noticed one dancer who I knew (Madison).

I sat at a table and was quickly approached by a cute brunette, but I asked her for a couple of minutes to settle in. I barely had time to order a beer before most of the ladies stopped by one at a time. One just sat down and proclaimed that it was her first night at the place and her friend, another first night girl, sat down as well. Fortunately, they both left when I refused to buy them a drink.
