Had heard a lot about this place, figured stop in while we (female companion and myself) were in LA. The place looks like it was decorated with a vague "Arabic" feel sometime in 1981, and since then they kinda have dusted occasionally - but that didn't bother me, I aint there for housekeeping. It wasn't gross, which is good enough.
Cover was $15, which covered 2 drinks as well. Being desperate for entertainment, we figured "why not".
There are 2 stages, they call one 'main' and one 'back', but they are both the same thing, maybe 2 feet off the ground, running most of the length of the room, pole at either end. You can sit at the rail, or in a booth/seat in back of the rail and still get a pretty good view. So far, we're fine.
The dancers. They do 2 sets on each stage; topless, then nude. (The dancers do get nude, which is nice in LA nowadays.) That was the best part. Attitude wise, most seemed to be "somewhere else" while they were dancing, very little interaction at all with us. One tried a little, but the rest basically ignored us, or just strutted by with a tiny butt shake. One even left our tips on the rail after her dances! (we were the heaviest tippers at the rail, at 3 bucks per dance; while we were there, very few were tipping, not sure how that contributed to the dancers' attitude. They didn't seem to be particularly stringent about the "dollar per dance" rule.) Stranger yet, the guys next to us - who weren't tipping jack - were getting more attention! Strange. My companion was not the only female there, and it seemed to be female friendly, but they many of the dancers ignored us, who knows?
The VIP dance area was hidden, and we didn't get one, so I can't say how the lap dances are,
