I was stuck in a Des Moines hotel for Thanksgiving so I checked tuscl but all were closed on Thanksgiving day. Friday I had to decide between calling an old gf or trying a strip club. I opted to avoid entanglements and since the Lumber Yard seemed to have the best reviews tried it out. I was immediately impressed by the size and layout. You could see all 3 stages and it was the largest strip club I had ever visited. I am a newbe to strip clubs though. The girls were definitely a cut above most places. Few stretch marks, few augmented breasts and all appeared under 30. I prefer the byob atmosphere and appreciated the absence of tip pests and drink requests. I was thinking I would plan on getting stuck in Des Moines more often. It did seem that the girls were less than enthusiastic about their dancing especially by the time they reached floor 3. Since floor 3 had the best lighting I spent most of my time there. Few of the girls seemed available for company so I had to ask one of the security men for SOP for lap dances.(advice for dancers: men over 40 tend to have more disposable cash for things like lap dances so don't ignore us) When Nicky danced she seemed more active than the other dancers so I asked if she was available for a LD. Unfortunately she, apparently, used all her energy on stage and gave a very boring knee dance, never got close to the lap. I tried a second dance and gave up. Definitely no tip. I will probably try the Lumber Yard again next time I am in Des Moines. Maybe every one over ate for Thanksgiving or maybe they were leaving early when the amateur dancers started. I was tempted to check out the wet t shirt competition but left after 90 minutes and renewed with ex gf. She had a 27 yo cousin who was planning on entering the contest but decided to stay home with us. I think she would have won but that is a whole different story.
