Made two visits to this club pronounced Ipocampo. From the outside it looks like a small neighborhood bar you pay 30 pesos cover to enter. Inside is a large two level club with a large stage in the middle with at least 6 poles, trapeze bar, swinging rings and a shower. Never saw a shower show but everything else was in use. It is dark inside so let your eyes adjust. Bathroom is clean and has an attendant. Mostly locals I may have been the lone tourist in the place. Never felt out of place as the floormen and waiters spoke passable English. There are tables all around the stage and I was escorted by one of the floormen to one in the front row. There is a small bar and private rooms with locking doors along the back wall. They have plenty of waiters and floormen who bring you your beverages. Beer was 20 pesos about $1.75 depending on the exchange rate. Cocktails a little more. Pay with pesos it is so much easier. Never saw anyone on the upper level and did not go up there. There were about 20 dancers working and they would get on the stage as a group and dance without disrobing until they were called down for a lap dance. All Latinas ranging from 5-9 all body types, natural and enhanced breasts, big and little asses etc. Music was a combination of dance, latin, rock and about everything else. Songs were not cut short and most of the Spanish songs were 5 minutes or longer. You tell the floorman which dancer you want and he escorts her to your table. Some of the dancers when they are done giving a lap dance will ask you if you want one on their way back to the stage. Lap dances are 60 pesos a little less than $5. You pay the floorman not the dancer he gives here a ticket which I guess she cashes in later. Depending on the dancer it is either nude or topless. Either way it is two way contact with lots of groping etc. I had several of these during my two nights here and most were excellent. Private dances are conducted behind closed locked doors. YMMV but basically they are about sex. Cost are 200 pesos for the house and 500 pesos for the dancer. The catch is that is for three songs, but since the songs are usually long with the dj generating enthusiasm in between it takes at least 20 minutes. On my first night there I ordered a Pacifico and watched for a while until I figured out what was happening. Picked out a gorgeous dark haired dancer who had just shown up. The floorman brought her over to me in the middle of a song so she sat on my lap ane we played touchy touchy until the next song started. The lap dance was very good, good grinding, hands on two waytouching etc. She whispered in my ear sex and I said how much. She told me the prices and I said no as I wanted to try out other dancers. She wasn't pushy and after the dance went back on stage. Note this is one thing I really noticed the girls were not pushy or clingy nor did they bug you to buy them a drink. The ones I did ask if they wanted a drink usually had a soda and a few had a beer. The system where they get on the stage and you choose your dancer gets rid of the wanna dance crap. Watch the dancers when they give their lap dances and you will probably find one that fits your bill. Had dances from a large selection and then took the first dancer up on her offer. You pay the 200 pesos to a guy at a table along the back where the rooms are. He has condoms available for the dancer. Went into the private room which had a small couch to sit on. First dance was the tease then things progressed nicely. It wasn't hurry up and lets get this over with but rather a three stage act. Of course I finished before the third song ended. Had a great time and visited again a few nights later. A note about smoking I saw signs prohibiting it but there were people smoking. Do not go here expecting a fancy club. It is in an old building I didn't even see a sign on the outside. The tables and chairs are functional nothing glitzy just an old fashioned good time. It seems to get busier later in the evening and I believe they open at 7pm but I wouldn't go before 10. Take the open air taxis to get here. The driver will know where it is.
