Out of sheer curiosity I decided to visit this place on a weekday afternoon after work. It is located in an industrial park and feels rather out of place. I had low expectations going in but it turns out those expectations should have been even lower.
To start with I walked through the entrance into the foyer where a bouncer should have been. There was nobody there so I heisted for a few seconds as my eyes adjusted, not wanting to walk right into the club without paying the cover. As I was waiting and getting used to the darker environment I hear a voice from inside the club yelling something over the din of the music. It was tough to tel if they were talking to me or someone inside the club. As my eyes began to adjust I realized it was the bartender/mama-san ordering me to "COME IN".
Mama-san was not happy with my 25 second hesitation and let me know it when I did "COME IN" and pay the cover at the bar. I then was able to see that there is a bar to your left as you enter then you step into a sunken stage area with the stage in a corner of the room. LCD televisions are playing silhouettes of dancers against brightly colored backgrounds. I entered and took a seat a bit back from the stage. Per local laws it looks like there is a "buffer zone" between patrons and the stage.
