The club dynamics are pretty well documented in other reviews, so I will focus on the Hotel Cascadas and those interested longer stays. The rooms are NOT very nice by American standards, and I would assume that most of the TJ hotels in the tourist areas are much nicer as well. The showers and restrooms are small and in separate rooms. The water mix is scalding hot and very cold, so there are often painful adjustment phases. The floor is concrete. The lighting is very dim with only one standard overhead light. There are a couple other lights that give the room a dim red glow. This may be nice when you are with company, but I found it generally annoying. This could be an anomaly, but my room placed the TV in a high corner above the Jacuzzi (master suite), and there was no remote in the room. Some acrobatics were required to change the channel/volume. The in-room safe wasn't powered, so I made sure I was around when staff was in the room. Additionally, the girls from Adelitas were either unwilling or not allowed to make the trip to the hotel a few doors down, so you will be limited to the girls at Hong Kong. For me this was not a big deal as I found most of them to be 8s, 9s, or 10s. For me, the biggest benefit of having my own room was saving on the hotel fees and having no pressure from the hotel staff to keep visits to one hour. It's also much more likely that you can have company for the night if you are interested. So in general, staying at the hotel offers some valuable conveniences, but you should be prepared to sacrifice some features of typical tourist hotels.
