Our experience at Cafe Risque in...

Our experience at Cafe Risque in Micanopy, Florida was a roaring success! A word of caution: My wife and I are very new at the Strip Club experience so please keep that in mind while reading this review. Cafe Risque was our very first strip club. We are naturists - as in nude beaches and resorts - and are very comfortable being nude in front of strangers and seeing nude strangers. We were looking for more in the nude experiences and along the way began discussing attending strip clubs. We wanted to make sure that our first experience was a positive one so that we wouldn't be turned off as we were sure there was a strip club out there somewhere that we would be comfortable visiting. I did a ton of research on the internet including this site (which is awesome). We were on a one week vacation road tripping in Florida and I suggested Cafe Risque as our first SC experience for two reasons: one, no alcohol is served and two, it is reasonably lit as in lighting. We wanted to visit the club and not have to worry about rowdy behavior or any other concern for safety so it seemed that Cafe Risque was a good choice due to the lack of alcohol and sufficient lighting (so we could see what was going on around us).

Cafe Risque is a small club just off of interstate 75 in Florida - exit 374. As soon as you take the exit you will see the club so no problem finding the place. It has it's own parking lot. As we walked in we were greeted by a friendly and informative man who took our cover and explained the rules and lay out. Cover was $7 for me and ladies get in for free. No alcohol is served as mentioned. The club seems small (again, this is our first SC). There was a line of small tables opposite the dance stage. There were mirrors along the entire wall so regardless of whether you sat facing the stage or not you had a clear and full view of the stage. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Saturday. There were two dancers on stage. We were there between 60 and 90 minutes and five different dancers performed on stage during that time. There was a side area with more tables and I did not note whether or not there was another stage in that area or not. The stage in use could allow maybe 6 to 8 dancers if needed. For us, our first time, two dancers were plenty. All dancers were fully nude on stage. There are stools right in front of the stage so you could get real close. The food was decent - very acceptable and we felt it was reasonably priced. Standard burgers and sandwiches.

While we did not, it seemed very acceptable and accessible for the customers to get very close to the dancers, watch them up close and tip them. Our waitress was also a dancer and while we did not indulge, she was wearing a button that said "I give private dances". We were not sure where the private rooms were for certain but did observe a small hallway that seemed to have rooms enclosed with curtains.
