I was in Detroit for the weekend so decided to make a tour of the airport clubs. My first stop was the Play House, then I went to the Landing Strip, and I finally ended up at the Landing Strip. I should have just started at the LS and not wasted my time getting there.
The club has changed since the last time I was there. Apparently the casino that was built is no longer active and the rooms have been converted to VIP. I went in and sat at the bar, ordered a big water and turned over $8.25 plus tip. A young lady approachd me and asked if I was waiting for someone. I told he no - she said she was going out to smoke a cigartte and would be back to join me. She left, I turned down a couple of approaches, and she returned and sat down. After a short conversation, I found out this was her second day dancing. You veterans out there will suggest that I should have just walked away - and you would have been right. However, I didn't; she said she would appreciate any tips I could give her, and we went upstairs. (The lapdance rooms by the way, are what all lap dance rooms should look like - completely enclosed by curtains with a love seat and an end table.) Very nice. Anyway, she danced - I gave her some tips on how to dance better, and I went in search of a more experienced provider. I found her, had an excellent time, and went home.
Not a cheap club, but the quality is definitely there (with a few newbies to keep life interesting). By the way, I asked her if anyone had given her advice on how to dance or what to expect. She said no one had said anything to her. Club owners, you should think about a short training bit for your new employees. It will help them and you.
