I paid a visit to Anthony's...

I paid a visit to Anthony's for the first time Wednesday night and was glad that I did. First I'll give my impressions of the club. The location is a little out of the way, but it's easy to get to and discrete (which I think is a plus). I didn't care much for the "valet" parking...I'm picky about my cars and the "valets" looked like a couple of punks. The girl working the door was nice and better looking than the dancers I've seen at some other clubs. Once inside, I was surprised by the size of the club. It's much larger than I had expected and is clean and well lit. It was nowhere near as cramped and smoky as most of the other clubs. The stage is fairly large and is located in the center of the room so there was plenty of room at the rail and a good view no matter where you chose to sit. If anything I would say that the stage is a little too big because the dancers had a lot of area to cover and didn't have time to spend long in any one area. If you happened to be seated at a part of the stage where there wasn't much of a crowd, you probably would be watching much of the dance from across the stage as the dancers naturally spend most of the time where the bigger crowds (and therefore more chances for tips) are. Approximately every 15 minutes the DJ would say it was time for "Showtime" and all of the girls would get on stage and he would announce a special (2 dances for $30, 2 dances for $35 + a free admission in the future, etc.). Once all the girls were on stage they would step down one by one and work their way through the crowd asking the customers if they would like a dance. I arrived just as they were doing one of these specials and I passed the first time around so that I would have a chance to check things out first. Later in the night I did partake of the private dances, and while "private" is an inaccurate description, I still enjoyed myself. The private dance area is upstairs from the main stage area and consists of several small booths with rather uncomfortable couches and little privacy. On a good note the songs were not cut short so depending on the song selection of the dancer on stage at that time, you might end up with quite some time. The first dance I got was 2 for $35 and lasted more than 10 minutes. Compared to some of the other clubs that charge about the same money and cut the songs short, I figured it was a pretty good deal.

Now for the good part...there were several girls (at least 15, maybe more...I didn't get a chance to count) dancing and most were very attractive and talented. For there to be that many nice looking gorls working on a weeknight was surprising to me, although the customers still outnumbered the dancers. The first girl I saw on stage was and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous blond named Jordan. She has an absolutely flawless body and is an extremely talented dancer as well. Unfortunately her boyfriend (I'm assuming, I don't think he was a customer) was there and as soon as she got off stage she immediately went back to sitting with him. The first couple of times they had all the girls on stage she would run back and sit with him rather than asking the customers for dances as the other girls were doing. That was a major turn-off, but the third time they ran a special I got a dance from her and she was hotter in private than she was on stage. My only complaint was that she seemed very distant the whole time and it was obvious that she really didn't want to be there. As soon as the songs were over she jumped up, put her clothes back on, and practically ran back to the guy she was sitting with.

There was another knockout of a blonde named Desiree that also was extremely talented on stang and who I wanted to get a dance with, but I think every other guy in the room had the same idea because she stayed busy. I wasn't one of the lucky ones last night, but I've got her on my list to look for in the future.
