Visited All star's on the recommendation...

Visited All star's on the recommendation of my taxi driver who persuaded me that the Flamingo Club was nicknamed the "dirty bird" for sanitation and upkeep reasons rather than for "over the top" mileage reasons. Allstar's had a $5 cover charge and reasonably priced drinks. It features a low stage with chairs around the tip rail and tables in close proximity to the stage. The dancers performed for two songs, only one of which was topless. Some of the dancers were a bit on the heavy side for my taste but about half the dancers were in the 7 or 8 range so I stayed around. The stage shows got a bit better as the night progressed with some creative tipping on stage where the customers lie down with strategically placed dollars and the dancers display some flexibility while collecting the tips. Some of the girl on girl play (mostly kissing and fondling) between the dancers and also between the dancers and waitress (easily the most attractive woman in the club) was pretty entertaining.

I took three trips to the VIP for $20 lap dances. The dances were two way contact but you couldn't touch beneath the g-string and there was very little stick shifting. The VIP area was not very private and the girls warned of cameras in the VIP which I could not locate so I'm a bit skeptical. As a result, the fun in the VIP was a bit restricted although I did get pretty good lap dances.

Overall, I liked this club slightly better than its better rated Lawrence competition, the Paradise Saloon. The problem with the Paradise Saloon is that it requires a $15 membership as a private club and it is smokey. The Paradise has a lap dance area that is NOT even as private as Allstars. The Paradise lap dance area is also inhabited by male customers who are just sitting around and talking with each other, kind of like a voyeur's club.
