This was my first visit to Club Fantasy, I think I enjoyed the experience but would summarize it as awkward. This is not a strip club; it is a hostess club where you buy the company of a hostess for a period of time. There is no overt nudity, although plenty of short skirts, cleavage and provocative dress. You and the hostess can spend time slow dancing on the dance floor, or spend time snuggling and talking on a faux leather couch.

The lay-out of the club is strange, the club is located in the basement and after a Maxwell Smart series of turns and a short hallway you are greeted by the doorman / timekeeper. Eight dollars gets you into the club, along one side of the club there is a bar area where they serve only soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages, the hostess staging area is opposite the bar. The bar is where the clients evaluate the talent and the ladies spend time primping and texting. The situation is more Serengeti, than social, as each side evaluates the other. I found this one the more awkward aspects of the club since there is no verbal communication until you approach the girl and ask for her company. The girl then gets up, raises her hand and nods to the timekeeper who logs the start time. It is somewhat akin to a gymnast getting ready to start her routine, especially apt for the Eastern European girls of which form a good percentage of the hostesses.

You and your hostess have the option of heading to the dance floor, or to the couches. I prefer the dance floor as the first step. The dance floor allows you to audition the hostess to see how accommodating she might be on the couches. The minimum rate is $10 ($5 for the girl and $5 for the house) so this technique is effective for limiting your losses with a less than compatible hostess.
