The outside of Zanzibar gives you the impression it will be seedy. It isn't When you get through the door, you'll find a long narrow room with a bar, then the stage. The seats are to the left, on two levels. It's lit well enough to make the place seem intimate but not dungeon like. The music is modern and mostly what you expect, and as I understand it, the dancers pick the songs in their sets.

I went with a woman I met in Toronto, so the experience was different than going by myself or with guys. The dancers largely didn't approach us, but when my friend went to the restroom, boom, there was a really attractive dancers who originally was from Montreal. It didn't take long for the trip to a private area.

The drinks are about as expensive as the other clubs in Toronto, but the liquor is not watered down as it was at the Brass Rail. Two Gray Goose and I felt their punch. My advice in strip clubs is order the liquor neat, with rocks on the side. That way you know what you're getting.
